We believe that it’s time to work closely with schools/colleges to challenge these outdated norms and create a culture that helps young girls thrive and be confident about their future.
It's time to make female leadership a norm within educational institutional environments whether it is by bringing more stories of women leaders to classroom discussions and bringing in more female leaders to the school to interact with students or creating more opportunities and building more support for young girls to thrive.
Also, it is time for Educational Institutions to engage in dialogue and discussions to create a more gender-bias free culture. Our Partner Schools/colleges can be role models in driving the agenda forward with us.
She For Change School Network is our step in that direction. We wish to engage with more educators, School Principals and Schools to pledge for gender equality at school level.

Is your school preparing girls for leadership positions?
There’s a lot of data showing that girls outperform boys in school – and yet those achievements don’t translate into leadership positions for girls in the workplace. So, why does that happen and how can we change this?
It has been reported that at the current rate of change, it will take around 100 years to achieve gender equality which is incredibly sad. We have 11% of women representatives in the Parliament. India was ranked 108 among 144 countries on the economic participation and opportunities index in the Global Gender Report 2017 and sadly we are now at 112th rank in the Global Gender Gap report in 2020.
On a personal level, every woman leader has agreed to the fact that it has been harder moving into leadership than it has been for their male counterparts. We believe that at a grassroots level, schools can and should make changes to ensure our female students leave our schools with as much courage, confidence and will as our male students do, to take on any leadership position they may strive for in the future.
